21-year-old Swedish rally ace Isak Reiersen continues his successful journey with JC Raceteknik and is set to compete in a full season of the Swedish Rally Championship’s top class in 2025. Additionally, he will make his second start in the WRC2 category at the FIA World Rally Championship event, Rally Sweden, in February.
In 2024, Reiersen made his debut in a four-wheel-drive car, driving JC Raceteknik’s new Škoda Fabia RS Rally2. The season resulted in a Swedish Championship bronze medal, an impressive eighth-place finish at the Rally Sweden WRC round, and a strong seventh place at the ERC event, Royal Rally of Scandinavia, held in his home region of Värmland.
Reiersen will continue his collaboration with JC Raceteknik for a full Swedish Championship season, aiming to improve on his bronze medal from 2024. Together with co-driver Stefan Gustavsson, he will also compete in Rally Sweden’s WRC2 category for the second consecutive year.
An intense winter program awaits Isak and Stefan, including the Finnskogsvalsen in Torsby, two rounds of the Norwegian Championship, and the Swedish Championship opener in Boden — all in preparation for Rally Sweden.
Details of an international racing program will be announced later.
Joel Christoffersson, JC Raceteknik Team Manager:
“We’re thrilled to continue this journey with Isak. We’ve had a long-term plan since last year, focusing on building experience. Now we have a solid program ahead where he’ll get plenty of seat time. Of course, we aim to further develop his international experience while maintaining momentum by competing at home and aiming to win the Swedish Championship. The highlight will be Rally Sweden, where we’ll push for an even better result next year.”
Isak Reiersen:
“I’m very excited about next year and grateful that we’ve managed to put together this calendar. After this season, we know what it takes and have a solid foundation to build on. I’m happy and thankful to everyone supporting us, which motivates me to keep working hard. I don’t think I’ve ever been this eager ahead of a season. I feel grateful, happy, and excited for 2025.”
“The Swedish Championship will be very interesting, and of course, we aim to finish even stronger than we did this year. We’re heading into next season with more experience and know we need to raise our minimum performance level to fight at the very top. Rally Sweden is one of the most exciting events of the year, and it’s hard to predict how we’ll stack up against the competition. However, I believe we can challenge at an even higher level in 2025.” |
