Her teamets pressemelding foran helgens løp:

#24 Dennis Hauger (NOR – Arden Ford)
British F4 Championship position: 3rd – 182 points – after 15 of 30 races (1st Rookie)

#33 Jack Doohan (AUS – Arden Ford)
British F4 Championship position: 4th – 164 points – after 15 of 30 races (2nd Rookie)

After a good two day official British F4 Championship test early last week at Snetterton, Red Bull Juniors Jack Doohan and Dennis Hauger return this weekend to start the second half of the season. Both recorded second fastest times in one or more of the four sessions so are in East Anglia full of confidence and chasing the championship lead.

Hauger on form

“After a bit of a summer break, time with my family, a trip to Italy, it was great to get back in the car last week,” explained the 15-year-old Norwegian. “Day one was really good, I think I was P2 both morning and afternoon. We were struggling a bit on Day two, a combination of things, I was a bit sick plus we needed to sort a few things out on the car.”

“All round there is quite a bit more to come that I think we can get from the sessions on Friday before qualifying starts. It’s a very interesting track, long with a lot of corners, a lot of technical corners and it makes it very difficult to put in a perfect lap. If you or the car are not quite right it soon adds up to a big difference in lap time. You really have to focus on the details.”

Doohan right there

“It wasn’t bad test at all,” said the 15-year-old Australian. “The first day did not quite go according to plan, the second day was better and we found some real good pace, the morning was very competitive. In the afternoon things didn’t quite go our way with some red flags and things but overall we learnt a lot and are quite happy with the car.”

“As we get into practice we are going to be looking for the set-up for the one lap qualifying. It is a long lap, almost two minutes so it is a question of keeping it all together, a lot of mistakes can be made over the lap.”

“It’s a really good track, high speed and there are overtaking possibilities, the long straight with slipstreaming and two second gear and one third gear corner so it should make for some good racing,” added Doohan.
