LAS VEAGS (Oct. 26, 2023) – Already with the Lucas Oil NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster world championship clinched and still two races left in the 2023 season, Julie Nataas and her Randy Meyer Racing (RMR) Oslo Tapet & Gulvelegg (OTG) team are looking to add icing to the cake with a victory at this weekend’s NHRA Nevada Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Nataas is coming off a rare three-title weekend at the Texas NHRA FallNationals at the Texas Motorplex. The OTG team picked up their third consecutive JEGS Allstars win on Saturday before a semifinal win light on Sunday earned them their first Top Alcohol Dragster championship. They would ultimately go onto sweep the weekend by winning the FallNationals title. The champs will now look to get their first win at The Strip, adding to their storybook season.

“I’ve been to several final rounds in Las Vegas before but never gotten the job done. I feel like we have some unfinished business at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway,” Nataas said. “The pressure of winning the championship might be gone but that doesn’t mean we’re here to relax. We are still here to win the last two races of the season.”

En route to their championship and fairytale weekend inTexas, Nataas and the OTG team have had six total victories. Their regional event wins came at Gainesville Raceway in Florida, the Texas Motorplex, Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio and Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, Kansas and earned them the North Central Regional championship. In addition to their nation event win at the FallNationals, they also picked up national event Wallys at Gainesville Raceway and zMAX Dragway in North Carolina.

Nataas and the RMR OTG team will kick off competition at the NHRA Nevada Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with qualifying Friday at 10:45 a.m. and 5:50 p.m. and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Eliminations begin Saturday with round one at 5:45 p.m. and continue Sunday with round two at 9:00 a.m., semifinals at 2:15 p.m. and finals at 3:35 p.m.
