Det er Hungaroring i Budapest som er banen det kjøres på kommende helg, sammen med Formel 1. Dennis Hauger har så langt ikke tatt poeng på de fire første løpene i Østerrike. The first FIA F3 weekend of the season produced a win for Liam Lawson but an incident a week later struck out the likely repeat. The 18-year-old New Zealander clearly has the pace for more wins and fellow Red Bull Juniors, Dennis Hauger, Jack Doohan and Igor Fraga have speed that has yet to produce due results. Lawson keen on the Hungaroring Liam Lawson believes that the change of venue may well be crucial. He feels that they could never get the tyres to turn on quickly enough at the Red Bull Ring for the vital qualifying performance. “I think that the problem is track related for us. In Hungary it will be very different to Austria. It’s a place where the tyre is good for one lap and not afterwards, so very different to the Red Bull Ring where we were going lap after lap and the tyre didn’t switch on. In Budapest it should suit us a bit more…. hopefully,” concluded the Hitech driver with a chuckle. Hauger is ready for results “I think it will be good, it’s an interesting track,” enthuses the 17-year-old Norwegian Hitech driver. “I worked on the sim, it’s really important to get some techniques sorted out that are specific to the Hungaroring so it was good to have the chance to do that.” “I think that by the end of the weekend in Austria we were in a good position as a team and we should be able to carry that into this weekend and really get some results,” he stated. Fraga keen to be problem free Both weekends at the Red Bull Ring saw the 21-year-old Brazilian overcoming technical issues but he believes that should be behind him now. “I think we had a balanced car at the Red Bull Ring so I think at the Hungaroring it’s a very technical track so it should also be good. The differences between cars can be bigger though so we really have to concentrate both on the driving side and the car to be really good so that we can be in the front.” “It’s much harder to overtake than in Austria so of course the starting position will be for sure very important so we have to make sure that we qualify well,” concluded the Charouz driver. Doohan to sort out Qualifying The 17-year-old Australian has no problem moving to the Hungaroring. “I definitely don’t dislike it, it’s fine, I’m very happy to go there, it’s standard. I’m ready to take on the challenge and put everything together that we’ve gathered over these hard two weekends and hopefully show what we can do.” The HWA driver feels that not getting the results their pace deserved simply stemmed from disrupted qualifying. “We’ll have to sort that out for the Hungaroring, I know I said that last week and I don’t want to just repeat myself, hopefully this time it will be action not just words,” he concluded with his usual smile.
