Double F2 podium for Monza Feature winner Daruvala

Jehan Daruvala showed great skill and experience at Monza to take home a 3rd and a win from the penultimate round of the F2 season.

Liam Lawson was robbed of a possible Feature Race victory when the Safety Car was called just as he passed the pit lane entry, taking the lead away from him.

Ayumu Iwasa had his 3rd place in the Feature Race taken away from him by the Stewards for a technical infringement.

Dennis Hauger recovered from Qualifying P19 to take 4th in the Feature Race.

Hauger bounces back on Sunday

«It was a really bad Qualifying.” explained the 19-year-old Norwegian. “I made a mistake in my second push run but still, the lap wasn’t really fast before the red flag. Overall, not so good.”

Sprint Race: “Decent race, it was a good feeling to get sort of forward again. Obviously, not the optimal starting point but I think we did the maximum that we could and a great step from yesterday.»

Feature Race «The start wasn’t great but there were some collisions out front as well, so I avoided them and got away with it. The drive-through lost a bit on us. Some people pitted and some didn’t and the people we had behind were in the top-5, while we were back in P14.”

“That was a bit of a shame, but the recovery we did and the pace we had was pretty good. Just struggled a bit in the last couple of laps, but overall, it was a fine recovery and in the end, we maximised the stuff we could on track.»
