| Norwegian racer Storm Julius Gjerdrum will make his NXT Gen Cup debut at the Nürburgring this weekend at the age of just 15.
«I’m finally old enough to race in the NXT Gen Cup and the feeling is awesome, especially to make my debut at the amazing Nürburgring,» said Storm Julius Gjerdrum. The 15-year-old made his racing debut earlier this year in the ADAC Tourenwagen Junior Cup and claimed two top six finishes in his first racing weekend. While electric MINIs will be something new for him, he has raced MINIs in the Norwegian Championship previously. «Racing the electric LRT NXT1 in NXT Gen Cup will be something completely new for me, especially racing against drivers with a lot more experience of this category,» said Storm Julius Gjerdrum. «But I am a quick learner and this weekend is primarily about gaining experience for me, then we will see what the future holds.
